Hello, my name is Stephen Antoni. I am running for State Representative in the Rhode Island General Assembly, to represent the citizens of the 39th District as well as all Rhode Islanders. 

As a self-employed Real Estate Broker for the past 10 years, I am keenly aware of the struggles that face local families on a daily basis. The tax burden is overwhelming. The monies being spent and allocated on projects,cost taxpayers more and more each year. The out-of-control Health and Healthcare costs are not even competitive, because there is No competition. The prices we are paying for food, fuel and taxes, continues to rise. And for what reason? We are getting nothing extra for the extra prices we are paying. More often than not, the answers to these questions are Bad management, Poor planning, No planning, Corruption. 

I am running for State Representative because I am not afraid to ask  tough questions to the leadership of this state. I want the political process in this state to be transparent and accessible. The Representatives of this State need to have oversight on the bureaucracies that seem to have the power on decision making.

It is no secret that this State of ours is drowning in red ink. There are solutions to cure some of these long-practiced ways of "business as usual". The decisions will be tough and require continuous pressure, to initiate change.

As a former Town Councilor for the Town of Richmond (1996-2002), I am not naive to think that one person and one voice can change the course of this State, overnight. But one person with one voice who can speak rationally, and articulate the HOPE of a future that is better than the present, can begin to lead a change, that will one day result in a better, Rhode Island. 

There is A HOPE for Rhode Island.
